Set on 18 private acres of woods with winding trails, a swimming pond, dock, and three waterfalls, this secluded refuge offers tranquility and immersion in nature.

Upstairs, soaring 20-foot ceilings and wraparound windows overlook the lake, waterfall, and forest beyond. The space includes a living room, kitchen, bathroom, wood-burning stove, desk, and piano. The house was built in 2017 as a composer's music studio and guest house.

Downstairs, an open, loft-like layout offers a second living area, bedroom with queen bed, TV, desk, and laundry room with washer and dryer. Step outside to the patio and outdoor shower, where you can sit just feet from one of the waterfalls and listen to it cascade.

The home is designed for two guests, with one queen bed. We can accommodate up to four guests with air mattresses available for the upstairs living room. No parties please.

There is an old farmhouse on the property too, home to me and my family when we're not in NYC where we live. The two houses are private from each other.

The property is located on a tiny, secluded road directly across from a nature preserve. You'll feel completely immersed in trees and wildlife—yet you’re near charming towns, restaurants, farms, bike trails, antique shops and cultural destinations including the Fisher Center at Bard, Vassar College and Kaatsbaan Cultural Park. The Omega Institute is just 15 minutes away. The area is also home to many wineries, breweries and distilleries.

Perfect for couples, families, friends, remote work, or creative retreats. The WiFi is excellent, and a backup generator ensures uninterrupted comfort.
