I’m subletting my furnished 3-bedroom, 1,000 sq ft condo in Flatbush from December 18, 2025, through January 17, 2026. The apartment is on the first floor of a small 3-story condo building and includes a private 900 sq ft fenced backyard — great for winter air, dogs, or just having outdoor space to yourself.

The Space

+ 3 bedrooms:
- Two with queen beds
- Third set up as an office with a convertible full-size sofa bed
+ Open living/dining area with a well-equipped kitchen, good counter space, dishwasher
+ In-unit washer/dryer
+ Mini-split HVAC plus very effective baseboard heat
+ Fully furnished

I can clear some closet space if needed.

Smart lighting throughout (color temperature + brightness control)

Location

- Quiet residential block in Flatbush
- 15-minute walk to Prospect Park
- 5 minute walk to 2/5 at Church Ave
- 12 minute walk to B/Q at Church Ave
- Close to shops, bars, and groceries

- Street-facing windows have security bars; I’ve never had any issues

- You may occasionally hear street activity or upstairs neighbors -- it is New York

House Feel

This is very much a lived-in, well-loved home — cozy, clean, and thoughtfully put together. I’ve built a lot of the furniture myself and take good care of the space. I’m not a neat freak, but I do expect the apartment to be kept clean and treated well.

Plants

There are quite a few plants (including a whole table full in one bedroom). I’ll ask you to water them and do your best to keep them alive while you're here.

Pets

I have a dog, so this is not suitable for someone with severe dog allergies.

Dogs allowed on a case-by-case basis, with an additional fee for cleaning and other risks.

There is a doggy door from one bedroom into the backyard, which can also be closed if not in use.

About This Lister

I work in the nonprofit social justice organizing world as a campaign strategist, evaluator, researcher, trainer. I own the unit and live here full-time -- this is not an Airbnb and I rarely sublet. I want someone who will treat the place like a real home, not a crash pad.

Rental requirements

- $3,500 for the full sublet period or any shorter period therein
- Additional days pro-rated
- 50% due as a deposit
- $1000 refundable security deposit
- Remaining balance due before move-in
- Pet fee, if applicable, to be agreed separately

You also agree to water the plants and to report any issues to me immediately.

In an ideal situation, you'd come see the place before but if you're out of town until arrival we can zoom or something.

Pets Policy

Dogs are allowed on a case-by-case basis, for a fee.
