I am subletting my 1br garden apartment with a large backyard for a month while I am away directing a show. I am seeking someone clean, quiet and responsible who also loves cats, as part of the rental exchange includes caring for my cat Phoebe. No additional pets, please.

I have lived in this apartment for 4 years and have created a cozy space that includes a small washer/dryer and dishwasher and a lovely outdoor setup (with a firepit that makes for cozy winter evenings). Everything you need is here in the apartment; just bring your clothing and essentials. It is on the first floor, and no stairs are required.

This is a quiet, residential street that is adjacent to lots of new businesses, such as restaurants, coffee shops, record stores, and more. The apartment is about a 5-min walk to the A/C at Utica as well as several buses moving north to Williamsburg, and east/west to Clinton Hill, Fort Greene, Downtown Brooklyn, Ridgewood and Bushwick.

This sublet is ideal for a single individual who is in transition as they seek another place to live. Because I live here alone, preference will be given to single renters because they will have a similar impact on the apartment.

I have priced the rental at a $1,000 discount to account for the labor of cat care. The total is inclusive of all bills.
