Room for sublet in the Fort Greene/Navy Yard neighborhood of Brooklyn. Available mid-December to mid-January; dates are flexible.
This is a room in a duplex with a large backyard, shared with one other person. The apartment includes a living room, kitchen, and bathroom on the ground floor, and three bedrooms upstairs. Your room comes with a queen bed, writing desk, dresser, and armoire. The laundromat is right on the corner (3-minute walk), and Fort Greene Park is a 10-minute walk away. The closest train is the G (10-minute walk), and the ferry stop is just 15 minutes away.
The area has plenty of great restaurants, coffee shops, and bars (mostly on Myrtle Avenue, which is 3 minutes away). It’s also wonderful for weekend walks, there’s a farmers market at Fort Greene Park and beautiful paths around the Pratt Institute.
The rent is $1,500 for a full month, but if you'd like to stay for a shorter period, we can prorate it.
Utilities are $100 per month and include Heat/Hot Water, Internet, Gas, Electricity.
I am an urban planner during the day and a lighting designer by night. I’m 33 and have been living in Brooklyn for the past six years. My roommate, a close friend you’d be sharing the space with, is a journalist and podcast producer. We are both very clean and respectful of each other’s space.
We would sign a simple sublet agreement, and the rent would be paid upon moving in.
