The summer Senior Leadership team manages the crucial behind-the-scenes aspects of our summer camp program.

The Leadership Team Staff are responsible for the following:

Operations Director: A responsible, organized, and mature individual will manage daily bus transportation (routes and schedules), parent communication, and camp administration.

Aquatics Director: Manages the aquatics department of our summer camp program including all elements of swim instruction, waterplay, and aquatics team supervision.

Unit Directors: Oversees a unit (age group) of campers, supervise and manage staff, and support the well-being and quality of experience of all campers.

Camper Care Specialist: With a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or similar field preferred. Manage and help ensure the Mental, Emotional, Social wellbeing of our campers and staff. Provide invaluable guidance to campers and staff, empowering them to make healthy, responsible, and respectful choices.

About Us

Young Judaea Sprout Brooklyn Day Camp, located in Red Hook, is a day camp for children entering Pre-K through 5th grade.

We are looking for energetic, fun-loving and responsible people to join our summer team! Currently we have multiple positions open including: Aquatics Director, Operations Director, Unit Directors, and Camper Care Specialist.

Sprout Brooklyn values staff that are positive and flexible team players who are excited to spend the summer with young campers and staff. The ideal candidate is excited about camp life and feels comfortable wearing multiple hats and will never say that a task “isn’t their job”.

Camp runs Monday - Friday from June 24 – August 16 with a week of staff training from June 17, 18, 20, & 23. The camp day is 7:45am – 4:45pm.
