Summer Sublet - June through August

$850/month + $50/month utilities

We live on the top (3rd) floor of a brownstone on a beautiful and rather quiet street in Bedstuy. I've lived here for several years and love the neighborhood - great people, beautiful architecture, trees, locally-owned coffee-shops and bars, etc. Its a convenient location, 2-3 blocks from the Nostrand A /C train (express stop!) and a short walk to the G.

Your room has a closet and is furnished with a comfy double bed with storage drawers underneath, a desk & chair, and built-in shelving storage. Some of this will be occupied with the current person's books and stuff, but you will have the full closet space at the very least. The room is 7 x 12 feet, with a ceiling fan and window. It is also decorated with photos and plants, I just wasn't able to get a photo in time for the post, the plants will need to be watered, but I could take care of that if you don't want to worry about it!

The rest of the apartment is very bright and airy, with windows in the living/dining room and kitchen, a skylight in the bathroom too.

The aesthetic of the apartment is fairly minimal, with vintage furniture and contemporary art on the walls of the apartment. And wood floors everywhere. While the kitchen is small, it is efficiently designed and stocked with nice appliances (rice cooker, vitamix blender, bread machine, electric tea kettle). I make most of my meals and really enjoy cooking in the space.

We value keeping the public areas clean and try to minimize clutter. You can obviously be as messy as you like in your bedroom, but please leave the public spaces as you found them - ie. no leaving dishes in the sink. We are flexible and forgiving when life demands rules to be broken, but please just don't make a regular habit of it.

We value a quiet escape from the city, and prefer to live with people who are considerate with their noise levels. And general quiet time starts at 9:30 or 10pm on weekdays. Again, we are human and exceptions apply, but generally it is nice if people wind down and are quiet when others are trying to sleep and get to work the next day.
