Note: I am looking for a plant-friendly subletter who can commit to watering the plants once per week and will prioritize this in my search.
Located just a few blocks from The Brooklyn Museum, The Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Prospect Park, my apartment is perfectly situated to enjoy the best of Brooklyn with quick and easy access to Manhattan. There are a many great restaurants and bars in the area, as well as an outstanding bakery and several grocery stores to choose from.
This is a 1-bedroom apartment with a separate living room/study (pictured in the first two photos). The rooms and bathroom are organized around a central dining room and well-equipped kitchen area.
The sun-drenched space is thoughtfully furnished with vintage and antique pieces I've collected on my travels, as well as handmade ceramics and art made by friends. There are lush plants in every room.
The apartment is located on the 6th floor of an elevator building, a short walk from the 2/3/4/5 and A/C/E trains and right next to the Prospect Park S shuttle stop. The location is widely considered one of the most desirable and well-connected in Brooklyn.
Note: My apartment building located next to an above-ground shuttle train (the S train) that makes some noise as it passes by. The apartment is on the 6th floor and the subway is adjacent to 1st floor. I work from home and find the sound manageable, but if you're very noise-sensitive, this might not be a good fit.
I'm an art historian, plant lover, and longtime New Yorker.
The exact sublet dates are flexible but I am looking for a 1-month minimum. We can prorate the monthly rent for a stay longer than one month.
Please share a bit about yourself and the dates you're interested in subletting. As this is my home, I am looking for a trusted person who will enjoy the space and treat its contents with care, and water the plants consistently once per week.
$2450/month includes utilities. There is a security deposit of $500 for the sublet.
