This is a furnished, quintessential 2-bed railroad in Ridgewood. The light is amazing and it's what drew me to the space in the first place.
The sublet is set for November 1 to May 31, but I'm open to shorter time periods and potentially longer as well.
*The Space:*
- It's around 700 sq ft, and I've made several updates to the apartment
- Big windows on either end with a TON of natural light
- Lots of plants
- Hardwood floors
- Fire escape!
- 3rd floor walkup, vacant apartment across the hall, small building
- Laundry one block away
- Fantastic neighbors
- Roof access
The apartment has two portable A/C units. The kitchen table expands and there are four chairs. I didn't picture it, but there is also a separate, standalone kitchen pantry and island.
The second room will fit a bed, though I won't be providing one. I've designated it as my closet.
Please also keep the plants alive. :)
*The Neighborhood:*
The apartment is a 5-minute walk to the Dekalb L and 10 minutes to the Seneca M. There is a B38 stop on the corner.
My favorite part about this side of Ridgewood is how anything nightlife-related you could want is available within a short walk to Bushwick, but it's a tranquil corner of the neighborhood.
My building neighbors are super friendly! If you're craving outdoor time, there's a community garden a couple of blocks away, and Grover Cleveland Park is less than 10 minutes away.
This block has a bunch of 20, 30- and 40-somethings as well as young families.
There is a grocery two blocks away, at least four coffee shops within a 5-minute walk (if not more) and a deli downstairs.
I am a 35-year-old publicist, and I've lived in New York for the past eight years--save one year, I've always been in Bushwick and Ridgewood. This is my favorite apartment, bar none.
I'd love to find someone who loves this apartment like I have and would be respectful of the items I'm leaving in it--there's quite a bit of curated love here.
