Available for a six-month sublet, this classic Brooklyn railroad–style apartment sits in the heart of Williamsburg, minutes walk from the second stop on the L train.
Located on the 3rd floor (walk up) of a corner building, this light-filled apt features nine oversized 6-foot windows and soaring ceilings that give it an open, airy feel. Original hardwood floors run throughout, and the natural light creates an airy, peaceful energy that’s hard to find in the city.
The large, fully equipped eat-in kitchen includes a full-sized refrigerator, open shelving, and all the basic cookware and dishes you’ll need. The long, sunny living room flows into a smaller bonus room with a twin bed and bookcase, perfect as a little guest room, or reading nook. From there, you’ll walk through to the spacious primary bedroom, complete with a queen bed, dresser, desk, and plenty of closet space.
Radiator heat keeps the apartment super cozy in the winter, and two A/C units keep things cool in the summer.
And the location? Prime Williamsburg. You’re surrounded by some of the best restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and boutiques in the city. Multiple grocery and specialty food stores are nearby, and Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s are just a 15-minute walk (or a quick 5-minute drive). McCarren Park, the waterfront, and the weekend farmers market are all within easy walking distance.
The light and layout of this apartment give it a calm, happy energy — it’s been a much-loved home and creative space for years. We’re cat-friendly (sorry, no dogs), so your little beast is welcome too.
Just so you know: The building is an old-school, no-frills place—no gym, doorman, or laundry onsite—but with plenty of laundry services nearby, it’s easy to keep up with your laundry. Plus, the amazing neighborhood more than makes up for it!
****Please note that this listing is for a six-month sublet only, as specified in the dates provided—kindly apply only if this timeframe works for you.
I’m a longtime Brooklyn resident working in television and film, and my work often takes me away for extended periods. While I’m gone, it’s very important to me that my home is kept clean, secure, and treated with care and respect. I also value discretion and want to ensure that my absence has no impact on my neighbors or the building’s day-to-day life. I have trusted friends nearby in case of an emergency, and I’ll remain available and in touch throughout the sublet should you need anything.
