We’re looking for a tenant to sublet our spacious, fully furnished Brooklyn apartment for the 2026–2027 academic year (Sept 1 – July 30, with some flexibility on dates).

This is a rare approximately 1,200 sq ft full-floor apartment that people consistently describe as an “unexpected oasis” — combining classic Brooklyn charm (original moldings, hardwood floors, decorative fireplace) with a renovated kitchen and bathrooms and an abundance of natural light throughout the day.

About This Lister

We’re a couple in our early 30s who have called Brooklyn home for the past 9 years. By day, we both work in consulting (a mix of remote and in-office), and by night/weekends we’re usually exploring the neighborhood, trying new restaurants, or spending time with friends.

Sarah is also a creative — working across sewing, nail art, and service design — and will be heading to London this fall to pursue a Master’s in Service Design at the Royal College of Art. Ryan grew up just a few blocks from the apartment, so this neighborhood has always been home in a very real way.
We’ve put a lot of care into making this space feel both beautiful and comfortable — a true home base that’s hosted countless dinners, workdays, and visiting friends over the years. It’s been a special place for us.

The building itself is small and friendly, with just two other units occupied by young professionals. We have a great relationship with our landlord, who is responsive and easy to work with. While we’ll be abroad, we’ll be handling showings ourselves and also have family nearby who can help coordinate anything as needed.

We don’t have pets, though one of the neighboring units has a small, very sweet dog.

We’re hoping to find someone who will enjoy and take care of the space in the same way while we’re away.
