ABOUT THE APARTMENT AND ROOM

The apartment has a large living room, one bathroom, full kitchen, lots of windows, and hardwood floors. The room for rent is spacious, sunlit, furnished and has good closet space.

TRANSPORTATION

The apartment is located a few steps from the 1 train and some blocks away from the A and C trains, making it easy to move all around the city.
*Columbia University is a 10 minutes raid away on the 1 train
*Columbia Presbyterian Hospital is at walking distance
*Midtown is 20 minutes away
*Union Square/Washington Sq is 30 minutes away

ABOUT THE NEIGHBORHOOD

As we are located very close to Broadway, there are several restaurants, coffee-shops, supermarkets, and convenience stores nearby. Our building is located in a tree-lined residential street. Since most of the apartment windows face an internal garden, there is barely any street noise coming in. The building is a walk-up and you have to be comfortable climbing four flights.

If you are into sports or jogging, there is a planet fitness around the corner and Riverside Park is just a stone throw away (Olympic-size pool; skating ring; bike path; tennis and basketball courts; soccer field; running track and so on). The neighborhood is quite pleasant and lively.

LIVING ARRANGEMENTS

I like to cultivate a clean, quiet and harmonious environment in the apartment--especially now that many of us have to work from home.

We mostly socialize outside, except for the occasional dinner with friends.

The space is queer friendly.

You will be sharing the common areas with me and two sweet cats. Unfortunately, we can't welcome more pets.

Last but not least: we do not wear outside shoes inside the apartment.

DATES

The move-in date is June 1st, 2026 but dates are slightly flexible.

Ideally, I am looking for someone that stays until the end of May 2027, but the agreement can be for longer if there is mutual agreement.

For the right fit, I am also open to a summer sublet.

RENT AND EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

The rent is 1400/month and utilities are split two ways at the end of each month.
