Hi, I am going away for the summer to be with family and am looking for a subletter to cover my rent. I am looking for a full 3 month commitment.

Located near the corner of Jefferson Ave and Marcy in Bed Stuy. 7ish min walk to the A train, 15 min to the G, 10 min to the LIRR, and various buses. Restaurants and coffee shops a block away on Tompkins. Herbert Von King park about 10 min walk. Nice tree lined block of historic brownstones.

-The apartment is a floor through 1.5 bedroom on the top floor of a brownstone. That’s up 3 flights of stairs.

-Open kitchen and living room, with a small office on the side I use as a studio.. Bedroom and Bathroom are in the rear. Lots of charm with original fireplaces, window casings and hardwood floors.

-Laundry is in the hall on the same floor, which is shared with one other tenant.

-I will have the bedroom closet and dresser cleared out for you.

There are two AC window units, one in the front one in the bedroom, as well as a Dishwasher, smart TV. Well stocked kitchen, food processor, blender and immersion blender. Electric range.

***Important***
The internet is New York Mesh Network. I never have any issues with it streaming TV and audio and using multiple devices at once. But I cannot guarantee it is strong enough if your job depends on video calls.

Shower water pressure is good.

I do have lots of plants, and can get sitters for a lot of them, but I may leave a few lower maintenance ones that would only need water once a month.

The landlord is a close friend, whose family lives on the bottom two floors. There is one other tenant on the middle floor.

There neighborhood is mostly pretty quiet but occaisionally neighbors have backyard parties in the summer, or people out front hang out and play music.

Parking isn’t too bad around here, especially on weekends.

Ideally looking for someone pretty quiet and clean.

I keep it pretty neat, but sometimes creative projects do overwhelm the place. I have always worked in the arts, and these days I mainly work in film and tv as a scenic painter.

The building is a friendly place. I have a cordial relationship with the other tenant. The landlord is a close friend who lives downstairs and has young children.
