We are looking for a new roommate to take over one of our bedrooms in our 3 bed, 2 bath apartment in Crown Heights starting September 1. The available room is part of a one year lease you would sign onto, and is $1400. You would share a bathroom with one other person. Utilities - electric & internet & monthly cleaning - are separate and typically run $120-140 per month per person.
About The Apartment:
- The available room is 91 sq feet (9’8’’ x 9’) and can fit a full or queen bed, desk, plus small dresser. It has a closet and a full wall of big windows that lets in amazing light! Mini-split AC on the wall. Comes unfurnished.
- You would be sharing one of the bathrooms
- 4th floor unit (3 flights of stairs) in a newly renovated 9 unit building, very quiet street, lobby for packages
- Dishwasher in kitchen, mini-split AC units in each room, Washer/Dryer in building
- 7 minute walk to the 2 / 5 at President street, 10 minute walk to Franklin 2 / 3 / 4 / 5
- 15 minute walk to Prospect Park
- Balcony in the apartment and communal rooftop one floor above
About This Lister
Who you’d be living with:
Grey (she/her), 31: I’m a Creative Director and Artist Manager who works in the music industry. I usually work from home, love everything pop culture, and value quiet recharging time when I’m not bopping around in the city. When I’m not working I enjoy hanging out with friends, going to comedy & broadway shows, taking walks through the Botanic Garden, and writing. Claire and I have become good friends and enjoy spending time together both in and outside of the apartment. Would love to add someone to our space who fits right in!
Claire (she/her), 30: I work at a nonprofit and go into the office 2x a week. Outside of work, I enjoy walking in Prospect Park, going to bar trivia/comedy shows/concerts, trying new bakeries/cafes, and cooking/baking. I’ve lived in the apartment for 3 years now (2 years with Grey) and truly love the space and neighborhood–we are lucky to live on a quiet street with friendly neighbors and there’s great cafes, bars, restaurants etc. just around the corner.

What we’re looking for:
We’re hoping to find a woman in her late 20s/30s who is tidy, respectful, and communicative. We like our apartment to be a cozy, comfortable space and would love to find someone who is friendly and wants it to feel like their home too. We enjoy chill nights watching TV and occasionally having friends over, but we do most of our socializing outside of the house, and are ultimately looking for someone who is kind and considerate. We will be redecorating the living room and are looking for new furniture (couch, coffee table, media stand) once our current roommate moves out. We’d love for you to be part of that process so we can create a cute, lovely space together. Open to you bringing in some furniture as well!
Unfortunately, no pets (Grey is allergic). No smoking. Would need to sign onto a one year lease and be approved by landlord.
