Hi listers! I will be away from the city through mid February and am hoping to connect with someone looking for a temporary stay in my darling apartment in Brooklyn Heights while I'm away.
I have some flexibility with the dates and am open to exploring longer-term arrangements with the right fit. Let me know in your message what your needs are :)
You'll be on the 2nd floor of a prewar building on a quiet, tree-lined street next to Brooklyn Bridge Park. There’s a great coffee shop and laundromat across the street, a dreamy little Italian restaurant on the corner, and a short walk to shopping/groceries/bakeries/restaurants on Montague, Atlantic Ave. and Court Street.
The apartment has a bohemian vibe with a kitchen (with a large, courtyard-facing window where my plants live); bathroom; living area; and a small but highly functional work/office space with an adjustable sit-stand desk.
The bedroom has a queen bed with a super comfy, organic bamboo hybrid pillow-top mattress, Brooklinen sheets and a street-facing window with a fire escape that stretches over to the living room window. There’s also a smart TV with Hulu, Max, Disney+, etc., wall-mounted in the bedroom.
The apartment is clean and fully furnished (see photos) but uncluttered, with plenty of storage space for your things. I've cleared out the left half of the closet (built-in IKEA PAX system), two bedroom drawers and an entryway storage bench for your use.
I pay for electricity, cooking gas and internet/Wi-Fi; those costs are included in the sublet price.
I (she/her) am a former journalist, currently working as a freelancer in content and marketing, who has been living in NYC for the past 11 years. I fell in love with and moved into this apartment/neighborhood in March 2021 and have never been happier. My neighbors are awesome and relatively quiet, and I have a good relationship with our landlord/building manager. I'll be your go-to contact and will share his information for emergencies.
I've had nothing but great experiences on all sides of renting apartments/subleasing/subletting through Listing Project over the years and am so grateful for this community <3
We'll both sign/agree to a simple sublease agreement and you'll pay the agreed upon rent, plus a $500 refundable security deposit.
Small pets considered on a case-by-case basis.
