-Our home is a very spacious beautiful 2BR, 1 Bathroom apartment, with a kitchen, office (third bedroom), and large family room.
-This is the second floor of a beautiful home in Kensington, with a lot of sun, breeze, happy plants, and a lot of space to spread out.
-Our favorite part of our home is that it is big respite to city living. It's a walk to prospect park and cute shops with a a quick train to Coney Island beach. It’s filled with over 50 plants, stacked with records and books we love, and holds a nice balance between giving space to work from home (office has a standing desk converter and external monitor and office chair you’re welcome to use) and also unplug and chill out. The house is accessed from the sidewalk by two 4” steps, five 10” steps, and then twelve 10” steps to the second floor apartment. The apartment is regrettably not accessible to a guest who uses a wheelchair.
-Our neighbors are friendly and supportive - it is important to us that a tenant in our home would be a good neighbor and that they are a quiet, respectful housemate (there is a separate apartment on the first floor).
-The house runs on city water, has ConEd electric, strong Optimum Wifi, weekly city waste/recycling removal, and has air conditioning units in the main bedroom and family room, and the back bedroom has a fan and gets a good cross-breeze. The cost of these utilities are included in the rent.
-No pets or smoking are allowed in our home.
-The home is lovingly fully furnished and lived-in; our kitchen is stocked with perishables, staples, and extensive cookware (with gas stove, fridge/freezer). We’ll keep all surfaces tidy and neutral, but closet spaces will be used to store our clothing and some of our personal items, so please don’t use those closet spaces when staying in the apartment.
-The apartment is .5 miles from the Church Ave F/G trains, .7 miles from Courtelyou Road Q Train, and .5 miles from the restaurants, shops, and Sunday farmer’s market of Courtelyou Road, and 1 mile from SW corner of Prospect Park. Nearest bodega is .1 miles and nearest grocery store and pharmacy is .5 miles.
We are long term tenants who are looking to sublet our apartment to a renter while we are out of town. I am a carpenter, social work student, teacher, and production manager who loves the work and freedoms of spending time in the woods. My partner is a Nurse Practitioner and choreographer. Our apartment is our soft place to land in the fast pace of city life.
-We are seeking a tenant anywhere between March6-23rd, and for short or longterm stay between March-July for $900/week but could flex to one month if it felt like the right fit.
-We are asking for rent to be paid in full before tenancy begins.
-We also ask for a $300 deposit to secure the rental that is held as a security deposit and refunded to the tenant if there are no damages assessed at the end of your stay.
-Utilities are included in the cost of rent. There is also a cleaning fee of $135 charged at the end of your stay.
