1-bedroom apartment in Chelsea available June 1 - October 31.
The bedroom is cozy, but the apartment has spacious separate living and dining rooms, a large kitchen, and a sizable bathroom. The apartment gets great natural light from large windows in the kitchen (overlooking the rooftop space), and from the bedroom and living room windows, which overlook the High Line on 10th Ave.
A unique feature of the apartment is rooftop access directly from the kitchen window. The roof has an astroturf rug, string lights, and a dart board, and it's a great spot to relax, have a drink, or enjoy summer evenings.
The apartment is in a 4-floor building with only one apartment per floor, so there are just three neighbors total. I live on the second floor walk-up.
The apartment will be partially furnished (queen bed + sofa included). Additional furnishings can be discussed, or the apartment can be rented unfurnished if preferred. Closet space will be available for use.
The location is excellent and very central in Chelsea, close to:
- The High Line
- Chelsea Piers
- Hudson River waterfront parks and bike paths
- Many art galleries, restaurants, and bars including Hotel Chelsea, Shukette, and Empire Diner
Groceries:
- Whole Foods (Hudson Yards) - ~ 8 minute walk
- Gristedes - ~ 5 minute walk
Transit nearby:
- C / E trains - 23rd St (8th Ave) - ~ 7 minute walk
- 1 train - 23rd St (7th Ave) - ~ 13 minute walk
- 7 train - Hudson Yards (34th St) - ~ 12 minute walk
- Also within walking distance to the L train at 14th St and additional subway lines at 34th St.
I lived here for three years and truly love this apartment - It's a special and unique place and my favorite apartment I've had in NYC.
A security deposit and small cleaning fee will be required.
Native New Yorker in my 30s who works in the art world. I've lived in this apartment for the past three years and really love it. I'll be away for the summer + and am looking for a responsible subletter who will enjoy and take good care of the space. Ideal for someone spending the summer in NYC for work, research, or an extended visit.
Please include a short introduction about yourself when reaching out. A security deposit and small cleaning fee will be required. I will ask for a photo ID before confirming the sublet. Looking for a responsible tenant who will treat the apartment and building with care.
Pets may be considered on a case-by-case basis (generally small, well-behaved pets). Please include details about the pet when reaching out.
