I am looking for a clean, quiet, respectful individual or couple to rent my apartment in Park Slope. The apartment is a one bedroom on the 3rd floor of a small walk-up condo with six other units. The building was completed gut-renovated in 2007, so even though it’s an old building, everything inside is modern. I lived here for several years until my family expanded and we outgrew the space.
The apartment has great light, a large private balcony, in-unit washer/dryer, dishwasher, high-end stainless steel appliances, two large closets, video intercom, and central AC/heat you can control with a Nest thermostat. The bathroom was completely remodeled, and the washer/dryer were replaced this spring. Each unit has its own heat and AC unit, and utilities are not included in rent.
Location: South Slope - 15th Street between 4th/5th Ave. Close to F/G/R trains & Citibike stations. About a 10 minute walk to Prospect Park, in a lively neighborhood with grocery stores, gyms, cafes, and everything you need right outside your door on 5th Avenue.
I'm a designer, long-time New Yorker, and mom. I live in the neighborhood, and am friendly and responsive.
No animals allowed for tenants in my building, unfortunately. The condo is strict about this.
Financial requirements:
- 40x rent, 80x with guarantor
- credit score over 700
Application process:
I'm looking for tenants who are quiet, respectful, and can fit in with the generally low-key, family-friendly vibe of the building. You will need to submit a board package for approval, and it typically takes about 30 days for the board to review and approve your application.
The package includes:
- provide letters of reference from landlord, professional colleague, and personal recommendation
- financial statement
- proof of income / funds
My building also has a $500 refundable move-in/move-out damage deposit that will be returned to you after your move.
Security deposit: 1 month rent ($3600) to be refunded when you move out. We will be signing a standard lease agreement.
