I’m looking for a one-bedroom apartment, back house, bungalow, garden apartment, or similar cozy and character-filled space. I’d also consider the right housemate situation if it felt like a genuinely good fit. I don’t currently have pets, though I absolutely love cats and dogs.
My vision is to be close to a bustling area with a view and lots of light. Just naming that
If you think your space might align, I’d love to connect!
Hi! I’m a single gay man in my 40s, originally from Connecticut and living in Los Angeles for the past three years. Before moving to LA, I spent more than a decade working in progressive nonprofits and advocacy spaces in DC, followed by several years in the tech world in San Diego. Since living in LA, I stepped away from the 9–5 office life to focus more deeply on writing, creative projects, and a more intentional way of living.
I currently earn my living as a sober companion and care partner, supporting clients through periods of transition, recovery, and wellness. I’m often with clients in LA for 12+ hours days for a month at a time where I am just home to recharge. I can also be on the road with them for several weeks at once. When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me writing in the sunlight or at a neighborhood café, at the gym, listening to comedy and culture podcasts, or out enjoying community and culture around LA.
I’m a conscientious, respectful renter with strong income, references, and an excellent rental history. My last two apartments were both homes I stayed in for more than three years each, and I’m ideally looking for another long-term situation. Home is very important to me — it’s my sanctuary, my place to recharge, reflect, and live independently — and I genuinely take pride in caring for the spaces I live in. I don't drink or smoke or use drugs of any kind.
