Looking for a kind, clean, and communicative woman to fill a room in our 3BR/2BA apartment in Bed-Stuy starting Sept 1.
It’s a medium-sized room (can comfortably fit a queen bed, as pictured) with great natural light and a big window that looks out onto a gorgeous cedar tree and community garden below.
The apartment has a bright and lovely shared kitchen and living space that gets great sun and is perfect for hanging, cooking, and catching up. The building only has two units, so it’s very quiet and peaceful, especially by NYC standards.
You’d be sharing the apartment with two roommates: one in her mid-20s working in events, the other early 30s and a graphic designer. Both are friendly, easy to live with, and value a chill, respectful home. You’d share a full bathroom with just one other person.
We also live with two very sweet and well-behaved cats, so you’ll need to be comfortable with that. No other pets allowed, sorry.
The apartment is in an amazing location:
— 7–10 mins to the G (Myrtle-Willoughby) and JMZ (Myrtle & Flushing)
— CitiBike at the corner
— Tons of grocery stores nearby
— Right between Bushwick & East Williamsburg, 15 min walk to Herbert Von King Park
Rent is a sublet through June 1, then you’ll have the option to be added to the lease. You’ll need to apply through our management company (guarantors OK), who are very quick and responsive.
We’re hoping to find someone who’s down-to-earth, communicative, and contributes to keeping the shared space clean and cozy. If that’s you, please reach out with the following details:
1. A bit about yourself (work, schedule, lifestyle)
2. Your ideal move-in date and how long you’re hoping to stay
3. Your experience with shared living and how you keep a home
4. Confirmation that you're comfortable living with cats
5. Whether you’re able to provide proof of income or a guarantor
If all works out, we'll schedule a time to call and proceed from there!
You’ll be living with two lovely women: one is in her mid-20s and works in events, the other is in her early 30s and a graphic designer. They’re both friendly, considerate, and keep a clean, calm home. Everyone’s got their own routines, but the shared vibe is easygoing and communicative.
I’m (29F, queer, PhD student) the outgoing roommate and I’ve really appreciated living here. It’s been a quiet, low-key spot with good people, and I’m hoping to find someone who’ll be a good fit for the space!
