Hello!
We have one bedroom in our 3Bd apartment opening up this spring, for a June 1st move-in. We live on the second floor of a lovely 4-unit building and we are friendly with all of our neighbors (our downstairs neighbors are often generous about the backyard), with roof access as well! There is one flight of stairs to get up to our unit, and a smaller set of stairs to get into the building.

The room itself is south-facing and receives glorious sunlight throughout the afternoon. It can fit a full bed with a desk and dresser, and has a decent-sized closet.

The apartment is a 5 minute walk from the Forest Ave M train and <15 min walk to the Myrtle-Wyckoff L. Topos, Bakeri, and Nomad café are all within a few block radius, along with a variety of restaurants and delis, a wine-shop, your choice of laundromats, and Rosemary’s playground! Grover Cleveland park is a 5 min bike ride/15 min walk. There’s a big selection of grocery stores within walking distance, including Vitelio’s, Pierogi Boys for specialty items, Good Neighbor and Valentino’s for the best produce prices, Billy’s, and City Fresh Market for 24/7 grocery-needs.

About This Lister

You would be living with two queer 28 year-old artists/arts workers. We both enjoy a balance of friendly communal moments and peace and quiet time to ourselves. Our home is very much a place to rest, recharge, and work on creative projects. It’s not a party household or one with frequent social gatherings, although we do have friends over here and there. Cleanliness is important to us as well as consideration for everyone sharing the space.

Rental requirements

If you’re interested in the room, email us with the address below. Feel free to share a couple sentences about yourself, and we’ll go from there to see if it’s a good fit.

To move in you will need a Deposit ($1k) + First month’s rent ($1k).

Utilities typically run between $50-$80 depending on the season.

The lease application involves a credit check, as well as proof of income.

It would be great to hear from at least one person who you’ve lived with before as reference!
