The room has a huge window overlooking the backyard, which provides direct sunlight. It can accommodate a full or queen bed, bookcase, desk and chair, dresser, mirror, and plants. It also has a large closet with an extra shelf I installed, high ceilings, a split unit heat/AC, and new wood floors.

The apartment has a big soaking tub in a private bathroom, new stainless steel appliances (including dishwasher!), washer/dryer in the basement, and bike storage.

Please note that this is a 4th-floor walk-up.

The roommate who is staying likes to keep the apartment clean.

The apartment is right off Franklin Avenue, with grocery stores, bodegas, coffee shops, restaurants, and bars right around the corner. The S train is under a one-minute walk, and the A/C or 2/3/4/5 trains are a couple of blocks away. Conveniently located near the botanical garden, museum, and Prospect park. I have lived in the area for almost a decade and love it.

About This Lister

You would be living with Max (he/they): I’m 30, trans, and work as a tenant-side housing attorney. I work in person about 3 days a week and work from home other times. I have a very lovable dog named Cal who is super sweet and also anxious, but warms up to new people very quickly.

I like to keep the apartment very clean and neat (e.g., washing dishes as soon as I use them and not leaving them in the sink), and I’m looking for someone who does the same. I like to cook--I cook dinner a few nights a week and do light meal prep on Sundays. I mostly like to keep to myself when I’m at home to decompress from work and don’t often host friends or gatherings in the apartment (the living space is not super conducive to multiple guests). My partner comes over about twice a week, but we are usually in my room when she does!
