That Creative Space is building a team of inspiring teaching artists and subject matter experts to lead workshops, classes, and creative experiences at our new community studio, opening in Fall 2025.

We’re looking for people who are passionate about their art, culture, or craft — and excited to share that passion with others. Whether you’re a practicing artist, skilled maker, or curious creative, if you love what you do and want to teach, we want to hear from you!

We’re especially seeking instructors for adult classes in:
- Wood Tool Carving
- Linocut Printmaking
- Gel Plate Printing / Mixed Media
- Intro to Gouache Painting
- Intro to Watercolor
- Slow Crafting

And seasonal kids (ages 8–10 and 11-14) in:

- Linocut Printmaking
- Arts & Crafts
- Photography
- Storytelling / Playwriting

But that’s just the start — we also welcome proposals from folks who are subject mater experts:

- How to pickle anything
- How to fix (almost) anything
- How to turn your brown thumb into a green one

Or anything else you’re excited to share — seriously!

Workshop Format & Support

- Most classes run 1–3 hours and are capped at 6–10 students for a focused, hands-on experience
- Instructors are responsible for preparing and teaching their classes, including setup and cleanup
- Studio assistants may be available to help, depending on scheduling
- Most classes are designed to be approachable, curiosity-driven, and beginner-friendly — we care more about process than perfection
- We do offer master classes — if you prefer to teach more advanced topics, please indicate that in your cover letter

Materials & Supplies
- Instructors may use studio supplies or bring their own
- A materials fee can be added to class registration to cover supply costs
- We’ll work with you to determine what’s needed and how best to source it

Who You Are
- A passionate creative, artist, or subject matter expert
- Comfortable engaging with small groups and teaching hands-on activities
- Organized, communicative, and dependable
- Experienced in teaching or leading workshops (or excited to start!)
- Located within 25 miles of Beacon, NY, with in-person availability required
- Authorized to work in the U.S. (We are not able to sponsor employment visas)
-This is a 1099 independent contractor position

What You’ll Get
