Aloha kākou! I'm Gigi :) I'm a lecturer at University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and received my Masters in Political Science with a graduate certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. I'm also an artist and choreographer (I have been a dancer my whole life) and am passionate about engaging in the political art landscape through the mediums of film and performance art. My research as of late has been surrounding the effects of colonialism on Pasifika wāhine sexuality and how wāhine can exercise ea (sovereignty/self determination) by reclaiming our bodies, memories, and sexualities through movement. I own this apartment and am traveling to New York for the month of September for a film festival!
Rent Payment: The Sublessee agrees to pay the Sublessor the sum of $3000 per month, payable before the first day of each month. A refundable security deposit of $950 is required upon signing the agreement. This deposit will be returned within 30 days after the lease ends, provided no damages have occurred.
Utilities: The rent payment includes all utilities such as wifi, water, electricity, etc. Sublessee is responsible for a one-time cleaning fee of $300 to be paid in addition to the $3000 rent payment, due with rent payment on September 1, 2025 or prorated accordingly.
Car: A separate Car Agreement will be signed by the Sublessee, which includes providing proof of a valid driver’s license and insurance. The Sublessee agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition, barring normal wear and tear.
Maintenance and Repairs: The sublessee agrees to maintain the premises and property (including all furniture, plants, parking, decorations, appliances, car) in good condition. The Sublessee agrees to promptly report any damage or repair needs to the Sublessor. Any damage caused by the Sublessee will be their responsibility. Standard maintenance issues (e.g., appliance failure due to normal wear and tear) will be the responsibility of the Sublessor. The Sublessee shall not make any alterations to the premises without written consent from the Sublessor.
Noise and Conduct: The Sublessee agrees to maintain a quiet and peaceful environment within the premises and not to engage in activities that would cause a disturbance to neighbors. 2 people maximum occupancy.
Use of Premises: The premises are to be used solely for residential purposes by the Sublessee. No part of the premises shall be used for any illegal activities.
Return of Possession: This Agreement terminates at 5 pm on September 30, 2025. At the expiration of this Sublet Agreement, the Sublessee agrees to vacate the premises, remove all personal belongings, and return the property to the Sublessor in clean and good condition.
If the Sublessee vacates the premises before the lease term ends, they will remain liable for the full rent payments unless otherwise agreed upon in writing by the Sublessor.
