Seeking housemates for communal(ish) living. Available May 1st. (mid-May for the right fit)

Renting two unfurnished rooms:
1. Bedroom with attached office, $1,850/mo
2. Bedoom, $1,100/mo
Gas, electric, and internet add ~ $100/month

The apartment is a 3-bedroom, 4th-floor walk-up with a layout that's genuinely well-suited to sharing. Plenty of room to be in your own space, and plenty of opportunity to cohabitate and host.

The communal space is generous: a mudroom for shoes, coats, bikes, and a project table; a window-lined living and dining room that's great for chilling, crafting, and the occasional dance party; and a kitchen that gets beautiful morning light. The bathroom has a tub-shower, a mini-washing machine, and a freshly refinished cement floor. Informal roof access makes for a superb morning coffee spot.

The larger bedroom includes a spacious private attached office, which accounts for the price difference. The 2nd bedroom currently has a loft bed that could stay or be removed.
A lot of the furniture in the photos will leave with my housemates. All for the best to make something new around the interests of the new household.

The R, N, W, D, F, and G trains are all a short walk. Parking is easy. Greenwood Cemetery and Prospect Park are about a 10-minute bike ride or a 20 minute walk.

About This Lister

Hi! I'm Danielle (she, her), a designer, artist, teacher, and kitchen dancer. I'm a playful 42-year-old from Vermont. I care about community, thoughtful communication, and making good things in the world.

I've lived in this apartment for two years and genuinely love it. My current housemates are moving on to buy a place together. I like living with people; I enjoy the random daily interactions just as much as having my own independent space. I'm hoping to find housemates who value cohabitation, might enjoy sharing a farm box, and want to host a party from time to time. I'm clean and tidy, yet like to live with understanding, flexibility, and open communication.

Rental requirements

I'm ideally looking for long-term housemates. I'm taking over the lease and am not currently asking future housemates to co-sign. A deposit for one month's rent would be ideal.

I like living with people; it's important that my new housemates are making the choice to live with others because it's awesome, not just because they can't afford to live alone.

Pets Policy

Pets have to be cleared with the landlord.
