This is a unique Ridgewood home that combines light, space, and an exceptional private outdoor experience. 2nd + 3rd floor of a two-family building. This expansive 4.5-bedroom, 2-bathroom residence spans multiple levels and is defined by its airy, sun-filled interiors, clean architectural lines, and seamless indoor-outdoor flow. I designed the house for myself, so it was built with care and attention to detail - not just a real estate endeavor. But for personal reasons, I am having to move to a different apartment. I loved living in this apartment and will miss it dearly!
The top floor is a 600-sf kitchen and living area with large warehouse windows and a light-wood herringbone floor. Viking oven and a lot of storage. The double doors lead directly onto a 1,000 sq ft private roof garden arranged across two levels. It is totally private up there, with open views of the Manhattan skyline and local park, the terrace offers multiple zones for dining, lounging, and planting—along with an outdoor shower that makes for a lovely way to start to the day.
Downstairs, the bedrooms are well-proportioned and quiet, with soft natural light, ample storage, and a flexible additional room ideal for an office or guest space. There is also a dedicated washer/dryer utility room with large machines and a utility sink.
Set on a calm, tree-lined street just one minute from Grover Cleveland Park, the location balances neighborhood tranquility with a strong local community. It is approximately a 15-minute walk to both the Jefferson L and the Forrest M train, with Citi Bike access throughout the area. The surrounding blocks are filled with nice cafés and local spots, and street parking is readily available. This is a great upcoming neighborhood with new places opening every week, it seems.
A distinctive home offering scale, light, and a genuinely rare private rooftop environment in one of Ridgewood’s most livable pockets.
It is an oasis in the city. I leave the doors open for 6 months of the year, creating an indoor-outdoor living experience. Living with this exposure to light and weather changes throughout the day, or waking up and showering on the roof, is a truly magical antidote to the fast, and often harsh nature of NYC.
I am the owner of the building. I am having to move to a different neighborhood for personal reasons. I love this apartment and will be very sad to not live there anymore.
