Hello,
We have a space (room) open for the month of June and beyond for immediate occupancy. Double on the urgent. We’re looking for someone who is pretty much astute, clean & creative. The location is in the (ditmas park / inland flatbush) area.
The room is quite spacious with both a closet and a large window which gets great sunlight. It is $930/month
If interested we would need first months rent
The nearest trains are a 10/12 minute walk (but there are also short cuts)
Q train - cortelyou station
Q/B trains - New Kirk plaza
2/5 trains - New Kirk Av
There are great eateries, organic food markets, public library and other fun stores in the cortelyou area.
It doesn’t have to be a year lease and can be on a month to month basis IF found viable, but we’re generally looking for someone who has long term hopes.
Honestly looking for someone clean! & not so problematic when it comes to living spaces. (basically drama free), understands SOCIAL BOUNDARIES within the home. we're a quiet and reserved bunch, pretty zen, and especially enjoy space, but also appropriate moments to come together and socialize.
Please if you know anyone who might fit the description/ looking for a place feel free to message me for more information. We’re looking for someone ASAP!
Photos are of how our previous roommate arranged it
Thanks 🎈
Hi — my name’s Woods, 33, and I’m visual artist who considers home to be sanctified space of refuge — a haven haha. A place to be with interiority. I was raised in the greater Flatbush area in Brooklyn--what is now called "PLG"(Prospect-Lefferts Gardens). I freelance photography, creative direction, and video directing/editing to fuel my personal visual art practice. I also dog/house sit and occasionally board cats, so must be okay with occasional fur friends. Of Haitian descent, and an extreme enjoyer of film; my biggest pet peeve is those who evade consequence and the messy, but will be in your corner for all eternity if you can communicate effectively and honestly.
My roommate Micheal is also a visual artist. He's of Puerto Rican and Polish descent, and grew up in the Lower East Side. He attends Hunter as he pursues a BFA in his discipline and is also an enjoyer of rice. Kindest fellow I know
We’re both professional, responsible men seeking someone with similar embodied qualities and who is okay with notions of home as haven and isn’t offended by social boundaries. We're reserved and both are a bit of recluses. We're fine revolving around each other to give space, some times not running into each other for days, while maintaining a standard of cooperation by tending to our house duties. We don't linger and are mostly in our spaces, never really infringing on boundaries unless invited. We are in search of someone who can grok with this. Thank you.
MUST BE CLEAN AND COOPERATIVE--ok with fur friends. being a creative doesn’t hurt, either. positive attitude is a plus and of course — understands boundaries.
