It was renovated in 2020 with an eye toward preserving the house's history and has ornate original moldings, detail and exposed brick. The most unique feature of this apartment is its secondary access - a back butler stairway off its kitchen – a true second back entrance to the apartment.

Views from the majority of windows (south) in the apt look out over South Brooklyn (and you can see fairly far), at the neighboring free-standing Victorian, a large grass-side yard (open views!), and the Spanish-tiled roofs and brick homes on Sunnyside Avenue (the adjacent street). The sunsets are beautiful.

The apartment features 4 nice-sized rooms plus a kitchen and bath. It can be used as a 2-bd (one full/queen, one king) with a large separate dining room and living room/office, or as a 3-bd (another king) with separate living room (though this 3rd bedroom is a walk-through to the bath so might function better as a public space). The apartment is ideal for either a couple or 2 roommates, but is not good for 3 roommates due to the walk-through to the bath.

The large bath, freshly renovated but still maintaining a bit of history, features a new Jacuzzi whirlpool tub and new rain-shower, marbled walls, modern storage shelving, mirrored medicine cabinet and a window.

All utilities are included except internet. This includes, gas, water, heat, electricity and a mini-split wall-mounted air –conditioning unit. The apartment also has a Ring-camera doorbell. Bushwick/Ridgewood are an 8 minute bike-ride away and their restaurants deliver to the house.

Public Transportation – J or Z express train is 5 blocks away, Van Siclen stop (8 min walk) – 27 minutes to the Lower East Side. Or one J/Z stop away from Van Siclen, connect at Broadway Junction to the L, A or C trains. (Broadway Junction is also a 13 minute walk from the house).

Highland Park - free renovated tennis courts (no reservations necessary), playground, children’s garden, soccer and baseball fields, barbeque areas, the beautiful re-done reservoir area

We are owners/creatives and respond to tenant needs quickly and diligently. We're at the house weekly for general maintenance and garbage removal. We do not live on the premises.
