Meet Casa Luigi, a 1-Bedroom guest home in Valley Village. A New Yorker's perfect dream of an LA guest house, this contemporary cottage in an enchanted garden boasts fancy new appliances (DW, WD, FF) in chic Reform cabinetry and Moroccan tile. A split AC/heater and two ceiling fans keep it cool and cozy. The bedroom accommodates a queen bed. Considering the Casa Luigi's intimate size, his walk-in closet is fairly colossal, comes with a sturdy lock, and even hides a second story, sound-proofed eagle's nest, perfect for recording or practicing music, or as office space, or for yoga.
The kitchen has a two-top induction cooktop and a countertop oven/air fryer, fully capable of roasting birds or dehydrating apples from the Fuji tree. Speaking of trees, the house shares a veritable orchard, citrus, berries and more, as well as a salt-water, solar-heated pool (8' deep and 32' long). It's guarded by a sweet if feisty dog (see photos) who might well be amenable to a companion, though K9 only. The impossibly charming Valley Village Park abuts the block's east end. Plentiful street parking.
While none of the LA's hustle and bustle can be felt from Casa Luigi's tranquil poolside, Valley Village is pretty much 20 minutes from anywhere, perfectly situated close to the Hollywood / 170 and 101 FWYs, and not far from either the 5 or the 405. The many delights of Sherman Oaks and Toluca Lake sparkle close by, but light out over Laurel and you're in Hollywood like a flash. A hop skip and you're in the NoHo Arts District and its walkable cafes, theaters, nightlife, with easy access to the Metro B Line and G Line.
