Hi I’m Ali (she/her)! A queer artist and video editor living and working between Brooklyn and Providence. I’ve worked in film for over a decade across various facets of production and post-production, including fiction and non-fiction short films, feature length films, video pieces, and music videos. Whatever project you have sitting on your hard drive I would be happy to tackle it together.

About this Lister

I’m an artist, visiting assistant professor, and video editor, and I’ve lived in New York for seven years. I have a BA in Film and Media Arts, and a MFA in Photography and Expanded media from RISD. I’ve edited for several news publications, coordinated at video post-production houses, and worked one-on-one with artists in addition to my own art practice. If you have a passion project that they just can’t figure out, an art or installation piece you need to clean-up, or video content for your business, I would love to help.

Background and Expertise

In addition to being an editor for ten years, I’m also a video artist, photographer, writer, and teacher that’s been working with lens-based media for fifteen years. I’ve had films included in several film festivals in New York, including Newfest, Atlanta, and Palm Springs. I love to collaborate with teams and also provide any guidance to telling the story you’re looking to share in the most visually compelling way possible.
