I live in Woodstock, NY with my two daughters, 8 and 10 (they are here 4 nights/week) and two wonderful Australian shepherds, and we have a guest house in a 1968 Airstream trailer on our property. It is in great condition, sleeps four, has a full kitchen, AC and heat, and shower. It’s cutely outfitted with tasteful decor, well ventilated with plenty of screened in windows. It is next to 18 acres of uninhabited forest, but only a half a mile walk to the town.
Since we have dogs, it’s important that people who stay here are dog lovers, and happy to meet them when they arrive. The dogs have their own separate area with a very big fence, and are fine as long as they feel included as family members when visitors come.
We also have a nice garden on our property, a playground with trampoline, and a swimming pool with an outdoor shower (additional to the one in the trailer).
I’ve lived in Woodstock for 13 years, I am an artist and culinary entrepreneur. There is a ceramic studio on site that can be used for additional materials and firing fees. I have a wholesale Tempeh business that is Kingston-based. I also taught yoga for 17 years and teach art classes as well as substitute teaching at a local nursery school.
I would just ask that you sign an agreement that you would be responsible for any damages to the property.
I think certain dogs would be fine in this setting. I’m OK with hair as opposed to fur based dogs staying in the trailer as long as they are potty trained!
