This light filled, contemporary open-plan one-bedroom apartment in one of central London’s most dynamic, theatre and culinary-rich districts is on the third floor of an award-winning four story building built in 2006. 

530 square feet + a small balcony (space to eat and work, in fair weather). And - as per the pictures - the possibility to close the sliding doors of the bedroom, so it functions as a traditional one-bedroom apartment. (The bed is UK King size, 150 X 200 cm, Organic Pocket 3000 Mattress Firm Tension from Heal's.)

Peaceful and quiet thanks to the concrete ceilings, resin floor, double glazed windows, and considerate neighbours, the apartment is dual aspect, facing south and west, and is flooded with light whenever the sun shines in London. The bedroom has blackout blinds which mitigates the early morning summer sunrise in London. There is underfloor heating in winter.

I used to live in the apartment full time so it's fully stocked with cookware and amenities but I've removed all personal items from the closet, pantry and bathroom. (The only personal items are books.) 

An elevator from street level means no stairs are required for access.

Located 8 minutes walk from Southwark Tube Station (Jubilee Line), 5 minutes from Borough Tube Station (Northern Line, City Branch), and 8 minutes from Blackfriars Thameslink, the apartment is a two mile walk into Soho, and less to the City of London (Barbican, Spitalfields, St Paul's). London Waterloo Station is ten mins walk away. Street parking is available with permits, which I can organise. 

Borough Market, one of Europe’s best food markets, is a 12 minute walk away. A recent culinary boom in the SE1 postcode means there are numerous terrific restaurants close by. 

Several world class theatres - The Young Vic and The Old Vic - are also within ten minutes (half a mile) walk, The Bridge Theatre just over a mile, and West End Theatres like The Wyndham's Theatre two miles. The Tate Modern art gallery is at the end of the street, as is The River Thames - about 8 minutes walk.

Non-smoking building. Sadly, the building as a whole doesn't permit pets.

Cleaning fee: $100 (cost price of post-tenancy deep clean; I pay for the pre-tenancy deep clean).
