About This Lister

Our family of four (with two school-aged children in 4th and 9th grades) lives on the upper floors of the house. We are long-time (25+ years), proud Brooklyn residents, and have lived in this home for three years. We have put a lot of time and energy into renovating and restoring this house, and are looking for tenants who are reliable, responsible, and will take excellent care of the space, and who are excited to live in an owner-occupied home. We value our home and strive for a peaceful, joyful living experience and are looking for tenants who feel the same!

Rental requirements

Monthly rent is $3,400. First month’s rent + security deposit (equal to one month’s rent) due at lease signing. Utilities (electricity, gas, hot water, internet) are not included. Gas is only used for the range and hot water heater. HVAC is all electric for both heating and cooling. Apartment is already wired for its own line of Optimum cable internet with speed up to 1 gig available.

Unfortunately, no pets are allowed due to owner family’s serious allergies.

We are looking for applicants with a credit score of 700 or higher. Applicant(s) should make a combined income of 40x the rent. Please be prepared to provide proof of income (self-employment/freelancers welcome), recent bank statements, most recent tax return, and a photo ID. Once the application has been reviewed and checked, qualified applicants will be asked to pay for a credit/background report (paid directly to the company doing the report). This is a non-smoking apartment. No pets allowed (sorry, this is a family with allergies!). We accept local guarantors. Requires a one-year lease, first month's rent plus a one-month security deposit ($6,800 total due at signing).
