I'm looking for a subtenant for my 1-bedroom apartment in Williamsburg. I'm moving out early after securing a housing lottery unit, so am offering this apartment at a discounted rent for the remainder of my lease.

- Spacious 1-bedroom, 2nd floor
- Well maintained, clean unit
- Modern bathroom with tub
- Central AC with remote controls
- Shared rooftop
- Private dog run in the backyard
- Laundry in adjacent building
- Newer building with only 10 residences
- Great lighting for plants (my plants have never grown faster)
- Lovely neighbors, calm and well kept building (friends always comment on how good it smells), no pests/critters

Location:
- 5 min walk to McCarren Park
- 6 min to Metropolitan/Lorimer (L, G)

Lease Terms:
- Start: Anytime after Nov 29. Preference for as soon as possible.
- End: July 30, 2026
- Pets only if approved by landlord. The building's management company is very responsive and kind.

About This Lister

I currently live in this space, but am moving out because I hit the jackpot and won a housing lottery unit in Fort Greene. I never fully settled in here because I've been on track for getting the lottery unit for the past few months (which is why it's not fully furnished yet). I love this apartment and neighborhood though, so will really miss it. I hope it will go to someone who will enjoy the space and make it into a home.

The ideal tenant would be someone with stable income, and is open to getting renter's insurance. Please share a bit about yourself, your work situation, and why you're looking for housing. Thanks!

Documentation requirements:
- Proof of income
- Recent paystubs & bank statements
- Contact info for a prior landlord (if possible, I know this can be tough)

No application fee, but would like to do an initial deposit, first month's rent, and a simple rental agreement.

Pets Policy

Pets would need to be approved by landlord.
