The house is a slice of Vermont history - built in 1795 by the first treasurer of Waitsfield - and has been lovingly maintained for 230 years. It's filled with beautiful wood beams, hardwood floors, charming details, and modern updates. The house sits on 2 acres, with a large yard, sledding hill, garden, patio, and fire pit. Located on a state-maintained road, it's extremely convenient for getting to the mountain, yet still feels quite private as it's enclosed by a fence and trees.

Available December 1 through mid-April. $25,000 if rented for the whole season.

About This Lister

We are an adventurous couple who have lived in Vermont for the past ~10 years, originally from Colorado and Massachusetts. We love Waitsfield for its endless access to outdoor sports (skiing, biking, hiking, etc.), and have fallen in love with its tight-knit community and culture of generosity, resilience, and creativity. We love to garden, host dinner parties, swim in the Mad River, and hang out with our pygmy goats. We absolutely love where we live and are honored to share it with others.
