Welcome to our peaceful, light-filled two-bedroom home in the Upper West Side, just one minute from the quiet, non-touristy edge of Central Park near 100th Central Park West & Columbus Ave. It’s the kind of spot where you can start your morning with a run across the park’s lush northern meadow and still be steps away from every urban convenience. Perched high on the 15th floor of a secure elevator building, the apartment is a calm, fully furnished retreat with 24/7 doorman service and in-building laundry.
The spacious living area features a comfy sofa, a 4-person dining table, and a huge 4K TV with Apple TV and Netflix.
The kitchen is a cook’s dream—stocked with a gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, and real cookware for proper meals (not just takeout).
The main bedroom has a king-size orthopedic bed, a large work-from-home desk, and a generous double-door closet with dressers. The second bedroom doubles as an office or guest space, with a fold-out sofa bed.
There are two AC units (in the living room and main bedroom), a coat closet, and even a wine fridge nook—complete with proper glassware.
But the real showstopper? The balcony with breathtaking views of Central Park and the city skyline. It’s perfect for breakfast in the sun, dinners al fresco, or a golden-hour glass of wine.
The location couldn’t be more ideal. The building is nestled between the park and a lively commercial strip with grocery stores, cafés, and specialty shopsand nearby conveniences such as Whole Foods Supermarket, Whole Foods Wine store, Sephora, Home Goods, Target, Petco, Starbucks, BareBurger, Duane Reade, Verizon, Chase Bank, and Bank of America, and a plethora of local shops, dining, supermarkets, cafes, gallery, and more. The 96th Street ABC subway is a 3-minute walk, and the 1/2/3 trains are a 10-minute walk away—making it easy to get anywhere in the city.
Since this is our full-time home, a few personal items will remain. But rest assured, we’ll leave plenty of space for you: the main bedroom closet will be fully cleared, and you’ll have access to the lower shelves and hanging space in the walk-in closet.
$4,800/month until September 30, then $5,050/month starting October 1.
We’re a couple — a journalist and a documentary filmmaker — we've been living here almost two years and absolutely love this apartment and the neighborhood.
One of us recently received a fellowship in another city, so we’ll be relocating temporarily for the fall. However, I (Jean Michel) will be traveling back and forth to New York regularly and will remain your main point of contact during your stay. I’ll be available to show the apartment in person, answer any questions, and support you if anything comes up — before or during your time here.
We’re both quiet, clean, and lead a healthy lifestyle. We enjoy cooking, working from home, and taking care of the space — and we’re looking for someone who will treat it with the same respect.
We’d be happy to meet you, show you around, and help you feel at home.
We’re offering our home for sublet from August 31 to November 30 (3 months), with the option to extend for two additional weeks in December at half-month rent.
What’s required before move-in: First month’s rent (due by August 21); one month’s security deposit (refundable in full if the apartment is returned in good condition)
The apartment is fully furnished and includes valuable items. To protect both sides, we may take photos at move-in and move-out.
Rent is paid monthly, in advance. The preferred payment method is bank transfer.
This is our full-time home. We’re looking for someone who will stay here as a “friend of the family” — quiet, respectful, clean, and discreet. No pets, no loud noise after 10 PM, and no issues with neighbors or building staff.
Additional Note: We require bi-weekly cleaning with our trusted cleaner at $120 every two weeks, to help maintain the apartment in great condition.
