Dozens of artists find and share art studio spaces every week on Listings Project. These artists are the lifeblood of our communities, keeping us connected to and engaged with the things that matter most. In this series, we showcase some of these art studios that were listed with us recently. To see our current available art studio listings, check out our most recent newsletter.
A Sunny Art Studio in Long Island City
Kerry Downey is an interdisciplinary artist working from their art studio in Long Island City, Queens. You can also find Kerry on Instagram.
“I have a beautiful studio with a few close friends (for 10+ years) in a warehouse in LIC. The space gets great light, is well-heated, well-ventilated with tall ceilings. I'm an interdisciplinary artist and teacher. I make large works on paper and paintings in the space. I'm pretty messy with my materials, but always clean up at the end of the day to be respectful of my studio mates.” - Kerry Downey
A Community Art Studio in Gowanus
Alexandra Segreti runs a shared art studio in Gowanus, Brooklyn. You can also find Alexandra on Instagram.
“We have a great 300 sq ft studio available for a Summer sublet in our lovely space. It is one of four studios in a nice old industrial building. It has beautiful original wood floors, Lg windows, lovely southern exposure light , and track lighting & clean walls.” - Alexandra Segreti
A Quiet Live/Work Space in Bushwick, Brooklyn
Cassandra Leveille is working out of her live/work art studio in Bushwick, Brooklyn. You can also find Cassandra on Instagram.
“We have a room and studio opening in our apartment on a quiet residential street in Bushwick, Brooklyn. This would be ideal for an artist or musician who wants to have a studio space in-house. I love this space a lot – it's always been a kind of communal, art-oriented space. It has a really large kitchen to cook, and roommates who are kind and respect one another's space.” - Cassandra Leveille
