Renting one bedroom in a 2 Bedroom rental apartment with a large, incredible private roof deck on the 10th floor, on Lower Greenwich Street in Manhattan. (ALTERNATE: lease takeover- with landlord approval- 7/30/26 end of lease)
A lovely private room is available on a short-term, flexible basis, with a variety of starting dates available, preferably Oct 1-11/21/25. Must be over 31 days. My daughters are away at college, so I'd like to share my light and comfortable space, as well as my extra bedroom. Our apartment is clean and casually furnished, in a recently renovated (50-year-old building), with many conveniences in addition to the fantastic location.
The room with the yellow quilt directly off the private yard door will suit you best, which is also closer to the kitchen and apartment door--as I currently work a hybrid schedule and work some days at home at the desk in the second room. I would consider another arrangement, however, if you need it.
Recently renovated elevator building in a prime downtown NYC location, Financial District, near Broadway. Fantastic building, super, but I seldom need anything.
Great city views, nestled amid architectural gems, and World Trade Center views. A 6-minute walk to the Hudson River, and a 6-minute walk to Battery Gardens overlooking the Statue of Liberty. Gym, and a large, comfortably furnished public deck with NYC harbor views, the Battery Gardens, a 7-minute walk--and WTC, as well as our private yard--1/2 the roof.
Beautiful neighborhoods, including the World Trade Center, Financial District, Battery Park, Seaport, Tribeca, and City Hall, are all within a two to ten-minute walk. Located officially in the financial district, this block on Lower Greenwich Street is wide and close to the Hudson and Harbor. There are numerous cafes and restaurants within walking distance & everywhere is easily accessible by car and train.
Multiple subway stations within 5-10 minutes, (One train, N/R, 4/5, A/C/E), Ferries to Brooklyn & NJ, & UES. Plus Battery/Brooklyn Tunnel, Path trains to NJ, ferries to Governors and Staten Island, Printemps, multiple historic sites including The NY Stock Exchange, Wall Street, Federal Hall, St Paul's Chapel, Trinity, Brooklyn Bridge...Chinatown. More pictures coming soon - please email with requests and questions. I can send a video.
Whole Foods, 5 minutes, Eataly, 5 minutes...Trader Joe's via subway

I'm healthy and active, I'm 59, and I tend to wake early and go to sleep early with a book. I do have shared custody of the friendly but slightly high-maintenance Labradoodle in the pictures - Trixie is with me about half the month. She is hypoallergenic and doesn't shed. I'm currently consulting with women's wear designers. Previously, I co-founded a small, high-end women's wear brand made in New York, which continues design & production today.
Thank you.
Active, healthy, positive 59-year-old single Mom.
Divorced 7 years, separated 9 years.
Married 25 years to my former business partner.
I was born and raised mainly in Annapolis, MD, a beautiful colonial capital town known for its sailing, crabbing, and Ralph Lauren-like preppy clothing, as well as its stunning homes and gardens.
I played lacrosse and field hockey, and started at the University of MD on a sports scholarship, but decided to move to NYC at 19 to pursue a career in the fashion business.
I went to FIT at night and worked in the industry during the day.
I lived mainly on the Lower East Side and the East Village, until I moved to the Tribeca area for the parks and public elementary school when I had children.
I often cook simple food, drink too much coffee, and consume very little alcohol. I'm very focused on work again, so my late nights are now very seldom. My daughters are both opposite reflections of me: progressive, liberal, hardworking, occasionally, and ambitious. I try not to let my voice get too loud, but it does occasionally. I'm trying to be a very neat and good apartment mate!
