We are subletting our beloved 1-bedroom apartment close to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens from late August to May (exact dates flexible). We love this space and we’re looking for someone who will love and care for it on our behalf while we’re away for the academic year.
The apartment has high ceilings, beautiful afternoon light, and the best of Prospect Heights and Crown Heights all easily accessible. The upstairs/downstairs layout allows for two living rooms, or a living room and an office space, which has worked great for us living here as a couple. The building is quiet and well-maintained by the landlord, located a short walk from the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, Brooklyn Museum, Grand Army Plaza, and Prospect Park. For us, this has been a perfect Brooklyn neighborhood with easy transit access (2/3 and 4/5 trains), friendly bars, a great pizza spot, and a truly excellent coffee shop all within a block or two. This is a great neighborhood for families, and while it’s easy to get anywhere you need to go, we find most weekends that we don’t want to leave the neighborhood!
We are providing the unit partially furnished with quality items that make the most of the space. All utilities and WiFi are included in the rent. The apartment is clean and well-cared for, and we’re looking for someone who will help us keep it that way—cleanliness and respect for the space are important to us. Let us know a little bit about you, why you’re interested in subletting, and any questions you have for us. We want this to be a good fit both practically and personally, for us and for you!
We are the current tenants and have lived here for one year. One of us is a professor and graphic designer, and the other is a social worker who will be starting a PhD program out of state this fall. We love our space and plan to return here during the summers. This sublet could be a great fit for someone who is in New York seasonally.
