This duplex apartment has a total of 2,000 square feet and the bedroom for rent measures 103 square feet (11.5’ x 9’) with a large window facing the private patio.
The apartment is in a historic newly renovated 4-story Brownstone.
The bedroom for rent is furnished with a full sized bed, two night tables, a lounge chair and a new wall-mounted flat screen TV. The room has a large closet, and the tenant would also have the exclusive use of a second closet in the common space.
The apartment has hard wood floors on the first floor and tile in the finished basement.

The apartment has a good size open kitchen connecting to the living room with all new stainless-steel appliances including a dishwasher. The living room has a large glass door leading to the patio and its tastefully decorated with art and mid-century modern furniture. The apartment has two separate living rooms and one and a half bathrooms.
The common space included in this rental includes the garden Bedroom described above, the 2nd floor living room, kitchen and bathroom as well as the private patio.
We have central AC & heating which is a blessing in the summers. We also have an in-unit Washer & Dryer in the first floor away from the bedrooms.
The patio features multiple seating settings and is ideal for spending a quiet afternoon or entertaining a few friends.

We are located on a beautiful tree-lined street on Hancock & Nostrand, three and a half short blocks from the Nostrand A/C train station, and about 10 short blocks from the Bedford/Nostrand G station. We are 8 short blocks away from the Herbert Von King Park with multiple bodegas, supermarkets wine shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance. A subway ride to the Fulton station in Manhattan takes about 10-15 minutes.

I share my life with two pooches (a Frenchie and an English Bulldog). I am extremely clean and respectful of the common space, which is kept neat & minimal. I work in tech from home and go to the city often for meetings, I also travel for work about once every two months. Most weekends I am away with my dogs.

I am looking for a non-smoker, clean, quiet and respectful roommate, someone that will appreciate the calm vibes this place has. Must love dogs (because mine WILL love you) :)
Preferably I’d like to share the space with a professional female roommate, an XGen like me would be a plus.

The kitchen is fully equipped, and I am very cool with sharing. I am not good at cooking but love to BBQ specially in the summer. I like to keep live plants around, and gardening was my Covid lockdown pastime. I keep the place tidy, all I ask is that you maintain it the same way.

Artistic minds are welcomed. (LGBTQ+ friendly).

I am a 55+ year-old male (non-smoker). I work remotely in technology for a company based in WI. I travel about once every two months with work and spend most weekends in the Catskills with my dogs. I moved to NYC in 2012 following a job opportunity. I am friendly and love creative energy. I live in the apartment with my 2 little bulldogs. A 7 year-old Frenchie and a 5 year-old English Bullie. I am a photography & cycling aficionado.

The apartment has the perfect setting for entertaining or spending time with a couple of friends in the patio, but I am extremely respectful of my roommate's space and quiet time and expect the same in return.

I am looking for a like-minded roommate, someone friendly, clean, and respectful of each other space. Having a chill home environment with good communication and respectful interactions is a must.
