Offering 2 bedrooms and 1 private bathroom in Ridgewood for $1600 per month. Shared kitchen and living room.
Note: I am only offering the two bedrooms together for 1 person - I am not open to renting out the bedrooms separately. (Think of this like an especially large 2 bedroom / 2 bathroom apartment! I have a great deal on the apartment and I want to share it with the right person.)
Location: 5 minutes walk from Myrtle/Wyckoff L/M.
Also, a Whole Foods is opening directly across the street and there are ample other grocery stores in the area.
You’ll be sharing with me, Eliana, a woman in her late 20s who has been living in the apartment for 2.5 years. I was previously a data analyst for a political nonprofit, currently work part-time as a barista, and am in the midst of a career pivot. I have the same set up on the other side of the apartment. In my free time, I take Spanish classes, play singing bowls, talk to strangers, and dabble in all sorts of random hobbies.
- Larger bedroom is: 10 feet wide x 11 feet long
- Smaller bedroom is: 7 feet wide and 14 feet long
- You can use the second room as a studio, an office, closet (lots of storage), craft room, or anything you can dream up.
Both get a ton of natural light, especially the larger bedroom.
Rent: $1,600 per month
Utilities: ~$100 or so per person per month (electric, gas, internet), not included.
Move-in: ASAP ideally by May 1st, but potentially as late as June 1st. Looking for someone to commit to a year (but can do 11 months or 13 months if needed).
You: clean, considerate, and experienced with communicating with roommates, ideally in your mid-twenties to mid-thirties, and are comfortable living on a busy street. Looking for someone who keeps a chill, low-key home without being uptight about it. You do most of your socializing outside the apartment, you're comfortable talking things out when stuff comes up, and you're easygoing about normal living noise.
Logistics: I'm looking for the right fit: someone who's compatible with me and will be an easy yes for my landlord. If you don't have a W2/regular income, a guarantor will be accepted! Text me at the number below. Email is ok but I may be slow to reply!
Other:
- No pets, unfortunately. I’m very allergic to cats and the landlord does not allow dogs.
- No in-building laundry (laundromats are located within a block away)
- Furniture in living room will be different and rooms come unfurnished
- Apartment is on the 3rd floor of a walk-up building

I tend to be pretty quiet when I'm home and see it as a refuge from the city and/or a workspace. I use she/her pronouns. I do my best to keep the apartment clean (regularly sweeping, washing my dishes by the time I go to sleep every night) but am not a neatfreak.
Proof of income; if not, a guarantor + proof of assets will work.
