2 rooms are available for a new lease in my gorgeous Bushwick apartment. Room 1 is larger (16' x 8.5', queen bed + dresser + desk + more) with a midsize closet for $1225. Room 2 is a smaller room (11' x 8', queen bed + dresser) with a large closet for $950. This would be a new lease, so application/credit check are necessary.

The apartment is the top floor of a 3-story walkup less than 0.1 miles from the Halsey J. It's super sunny in all the rooms, including the living room. There is a dishwasher in the kitchen and coin-op laundry on the 1st floor.

Unfortunately my current roommates are taking the majority of the living room furniture, so any furniture you have is welcome!

I’m Vanessa (she/her), a 28 year old Kenyan-American from Dallas, TX. I moved to Brooklyn 5 years ago from Boston, where I’d been living after graduating from BU. I’m a project manager for two companies sharing one studio space in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The work is in-person and I have flexible hours, but I tend to be in the studio from around 10 am - 6:30 pm.

I’m a producer and songwriter, so I spend a lot of my free time making music and going to shows. On a weekend night, if I’m not going out to an event or to see friends, you’ll probably find me watching a silly TV show, making music, or working on a puzzle.

I would describe myself as a friendly, considerate, clean and honest roommate. I’ve never had issues with open communication and I’m generally very receptive to others’ needs. Very much looking for likeminded people.

I don’t smoke and I have no pets, though I don’t mind roommates who do. Cleanliness, especially in common areas, is important to me, though I’m not obsessive. Keeping a neat space helps keep my mind clear — I know I need to slow down and check-in with myself when my room becomes overrun with laundry.
