*December 1st move in*

Looking for a roommate to join the new year lease beginning Dec 1st! Second floor apartment. There are two small rooms available, the first room (currently used as a bedroom), at the back, can fit a queen sized bed with a little bit of space still or a full with extra room.

The second room at the front is smaller and is currently used as an office/private living room. It's perfect for that, or an art studio, workout room, whatever you need it to be! Both rooms get very good sunlight throughout the day, though the living room does not unless room doors are open.

Both rooms have closets - bedroom with a smaller corner closet and office with a very small closet. The large living room closet will also be yours!

Older (30s) 6-unit building with high ceilings and solid walls (minimal neighbor noise). Central air and heat. Neighbors in building are mostly all longtime residents and are very nice and respectful. The surrounding community is very active and welcoming, lots of nearby neighborhood events, farmers markets at the park on weekends, local hangouts.

The apartment is in a quiet residential strip of prime bushwick, still only a block or so from Maria Hernandez and 1.5 blocks from the Jefferson L. 10/15mins to the M or J.

Plenty of bars and restaurants around, also a few cafes on the same block and two 24hr grocery stores! Seriously recommend Green Valley Market the prices are so good. Two laundromats only ~ a block away, one open 24/7. Decent parking from what I hear (I don't drive).

Plenty of allotted pantry space, and all the current kitchen equipment is fully free to use! I love to cook but I work too much to put anything to use. Some of the furniture will also be taken so there will be room for incoming furniture should you have any.

Will need to apply through the landlord if after checking it out and meeting we want to proceed! Will require credit check and pay stubs, whole shebang, and they will most likely require a guarantor.

I'm the only roommate, Jo (she/they), I'm 28, and I've been living in this apartment for 2 years now. I work full time out of the house restaurant managing, I come home late but keep quiet and go right to bed. I'm very laid back and adaptable to all types of roommate styles, but would rather not have a big party culture around the apartment (neither would the neighbors!)

I'm big into fantasy and sci-fi like lord of the rings, star trek, etc so there are crumbs of that around the apartment in small decor. I tend to be a cheerful person overall!

Since I work so much I end up keeping to myself for the most part; I'm friendly and down to chat but I do spend most of my time at home in my room relaxing or writing when I'm not at work.

I have a sweet, shy rescue cat named Momo who is extremely timid and mostly sticks by me or hides unless you want to try and gain her trust. Her anxiety does mean that she is a very well behaved cat -she has no interest in human food and keeps off of counters. Unfortunately because of her anxiety other pets aren't doable :(
