I'm looking to sublet a furnished bedroom in a 3x2 house located in the heart of Hyde Park.

This cozy room at the back of the house includes:

- Direct access to a fenced-in backyard

The house has its quirks but has a warm, homey vibe, and offers:
- Central air conditioning
- Outdoor seating and a fire pit
- Google Fiber and Google Nest
- An open, well-equipped kitchen with a dishwasher

The landlord is currently building a house in the backyard. Once it's finished, he plans to rent it out, so we may have new neighbors by mid-2026

The house is located in Hyde Park, north of University of Texas, on a very quiet street with plenty of parking.
Having a car is ideal, but we have several coffee shops, restaurants, a public swimming pool and tennis courts in walking distance.
It's not far from iconic Texan grocery stores such as HEB and Central Market.

Ideal for a grad student or someone considering a move to Austin.
Rent is $1,200/month, plus shared utilities. The room would be available as early as November. I'm happy to discuss month-to-month terms or an unfurnished option if that’s preferred.

Originally from Paris, I have been in Austin for 9+ years.
I moved into the house three years ago and it's been my favorite place to live in Austin so far. The lease is open-ended.

The landlord is very responsive and lives nearby. He takes care of the yard maintenance and usually will send someone if there is a problem within 24 hours.

I work in tech in a hybrid role. I will be traveling quite a lot in 2026. When I am in town, I enjoy going to concerts, playing tennis, cooking, and catching up on shows. I am the dedicated dog sitter for many of my friends so I may have an occasional dog stay with me.
Occasionally, friends will join for dinner or hang out around the fire pit.
