Hi! We are a couple, both academics, subletting our beautiful duplex on the 10th floor of an elevator building. We travel abroad to visit our families during the summer months.
*Dates: June 1 to August 20. The end date might be negotiable (a few more/less days)
*The rent is $2850 per month, plus a $2500 deposit. The deposit is for security purposes and to guarantee the sublet, and will be reimbursed at the end of the lease.
*Utilities are included in the rent.
*The apartment is perfect for a couple or one person. We’re looking for someone who is very clean, quiet, friendly, and responsible (non-smoking, no parties).

*Apartment layout: the bedroom and Home office space are in the mezzanine; the kitchen, living + dining room, and bathroom are in the ground floor.
*The building: renovated complex, clean, with excellent service (a large team of supers and cleaners) and a great atmosphere. The neighbors are respectful, quiet, and friendly.
*There is a large laundry facility in the complex (card-operated and drop-off) and a large adjacent supermarket. There is parking space in the surrounding blocks.
*The neighborhood: We're in the border between Prospect Heights and Crown Heights. Amazing neighborhood! Coffee shops, bakeries, bars, restaurants, and small shops half a block away. The apartment in on Prospect Pl. between Franklin and Classon.
*10 to 15-minute walking distance to Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Museum.
*7-minute walk to the Franklin Ave. subway, where you can catch the 2, 3, 4, and 5 lines,
*12 min walk to another Franklin Ave. subway line (C). Any of these trains get you to Manhattan in 25 mins or less. There is, in addition, a shuttle train station right across the building that saves you the walk.
