Beautiful, historic, welcoming, furnished, two-story townhouse on quiet block in Prospect Lefferts Gardens, a landmarked district. House is near the corner of Lincoln Road and Rogers Avenue. The magic of this house is in how it can accommodate many people with ease. I have hosted 8 people here and each person finds a private space to occupy. Ceilings are high, cross ventilation good.

I am looking for people (family or friends) who will live in the house gently, with respect, and will look after Winnie, our eleven-year-old cat. I am also open to a house swap in the Outer Cape for the month! I can offer 10% off for petcare. Petcare involves: cleaning litter, giving Winnie fresh water, making sure her food bowl doesn't go empty (she's on continuous feed), and letting her in and out to the back garden.

There are two bathrooms, four bedrooms, a sunporch, and garden. The kitchen is large, with many feet of counter space and a powerful stove/oven. The first floor is open plan. Entire space is approximately 1800 sq. feet, not including the garden.
All bedrooms have A/C. Downstairs has AC in front room.

Accessibility: There is a stoop at the front of the house that gets you to the front door. The door key is a simple one-turn bolt. (I'll leave it in a lockbox w/ combination.) Once inside, there is one staircase to the second floor and one to the basement area where the cat litter box lives.

The house is on a tree-lined street that often wins placement in the Greenest Block in Brooklyn Contest. Wide sidewalks, safe walk to and from two subway stations.

NOTE: Our cat, Winnie, needs to be fed, watered, loved! She comes with the house. I can offer 10% off for petcare. Petcare involves: cleaning litter. giving Winnie fresh water, and making sure her food bowl doesn't go empty (she's on continuous feed).

Parking is excellent out front. The neighborhood has many restaurants, cafes, retail shops, a good supermarket, and most important: Prospect Park, the Central branch of the Brooklyn Library, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Grand Army Plaza, and the Brooklyn Museum close by.

About This Lister

My name is Anna (she/her). I am the homeowner, and would be the contact person for you.

I have lived in the house since January 2008. I count myself lucky to have landed in PLG. I raised my two daughters here (they're in college), and love the community and my neighbors. I work to keep the house neat and clean, though its vibe is lived-in, welcoming, and relaxed.

I work in communications in the arts, practice yoga, travel, write, walk, and cook for people I love.

Note that we have a cat, Winnie, age 11, who needs to be fed and watered while we are away. She is sweet and used to people coming and going.
