After successfully hiring a Pet Sitter and SEO Manager from Listing Project a few months ago, G&G Pets continues to grow, and we are excited to launch our pet sitting marketplace exclusively serving discerning and value-driven pet-families of San Francisco, Marin County, and San Mateo County.
G&G Pets is a pet-sitting platform connecting professional pet sitters with pet owners across the Bay Area. Founded in 2021, we believe in more than just facilitating pet care—we're dedicated to creating a trusted community where experienced sitters can flourish while providing exceptional care that fosters peace of mind for pet owners.
As G&G Pets continues to grow, we are actively seeking multiple pet sitters to join our marketplace to serve San Francisco, Marin County, and/or San Mateo County. We are looking for talented animal care professionals who have established pet-sitting experience, want to maximize their earnings, and get connected with families who value their work.
This opportunity allows you to set your own rates, work from various locations across the Bay Area, and build lasting relationships with clients who value premium pet care.
Service Responsibilities:
- Review client profiles and pet needs, communicate directly with clients to discuss care requirements and expectations.
Professional Pet Sitting:
- Provide care at clients' homes following agreed-upon schedules for walking, playing, feeding, and caring for pets as specified.
Client Communication:
-Maintain professional communication with clients, providing regular updates and photos during care periods.
Home Care Services:
-Maintain clients' homes to professional standards, including basic tidying, cleaning up after pets, and leaving homes in excellent condition.
Professional Requirements:
- Proven Pet Care Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional pet-sitting experience, with preference for sitters who have experience with behavioral or medical needs, such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, or incontinence, limited mobility, cognitive decline, etc.
- Service Industry Background: Demonstrated experience in hospitality, client services, or similar professional service roles. We’re looking for candidates who are equally great with people as they are with pets.
- Business Mindset: Entrepreneurial spirit with passion for animal care and commitment to delivering premium, service-focused client experiences.
-Professional Organization: Proven ability to manage multiple clients and bookings independently while maintaining high service standards.
-Exceptional Communication: Professional communication skills with emotional intelligence to address both client and pet needs with expertise and sensitivity.
-Flexible Availability: Ability to accept overnight bookings and maintain consistent availability for repeat clients.
-Bay Area Coverage: Willingness to travel throughout San Francisco, Marin County, and/or San Mateo County to serve clients in various neighborhoods.
Professional Standards:
-18 years or older with reliable transportation and professional references.
Compensation Structure:
-You Set Your Rates: Determine your own pricing based on your experience and services offered.
-Platform Fee: 20% service fee on all bookings (you keep 80% of your earnings)
-Direct Tips: Keep 100% of all tips from clients
-Premium Rates: Opportunity to charge premium rates for holidays, multiple pets, and specialized care with no cap
1099 Independent Contractor status with complete schedule flexibility
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced Pet Sitter who truly understands and delivers high-quality service, who is great with people and has a passion for working with animals. You should be adaptable, empathetic, and committed. Extensive pet care experience and proven client service skills are essential, as our platform connects you with clients who expect premium, professional pet care services.
