This beautiful late 19th century townhouse has been lovingly restored with its original details intact. Our house is ridiculously huge by NYC standards -- by any standards, really. First floor has a sunlit parlour with sitting room, large dining room, and a spacious kitchen. Second floor has two large bedrooms, 2 large walk-in closets, and a large bathroom with clawfoot tub and skylight. The finished basement has laundry, an extra bathroom, and can double has a 3rd bedroom. You will have access to three floors in total.
It's surprisingly quiet and bright, with tons of space to relax, and
a magical backyard outside.
The neighborhood is great, with friendly neighbours, and nice bars and cafés in the area. Very close to the C and about 10 minutes to the A, 2, 3, and 4.
PLEASE NOTE that the apartment on the top floor of the townhouse is rented and shares the same entrance. The house is very private, so no need to interact with the other tenant, but the hallway and stairs are shared. Our tenant is about the nicest person you'll ever meet, and keeps to herself, but you have to be comfortable with a shared entrance.
Wifi, heating, gas, washer, dryer, dishwasher, all utilities included. Can also be rented semi-furnished (beds, tables).
I usually come to NYC for a few days every 2-3 months to check on the property and garden and to take care of other business. My current tenants were fine with me sleeping in the basement during those trips, which was really helpful. I think in the past 18 months I stayed a total of 10 days at the apartment. People who are open to me crashing in the basement occasionally will have priority. (You won’t even know I’m there).
I don’t have a walk-through video of the space, but here is a random dance video that was shot in the apartment that shows some of the rooms:
