PARK SLOPE: Private room (and bathroom for additional cost) available for rent
Private room for rent in PARK SLOPE
Room for rent in a spacious 3 bedroom apartment in Park Slope, one block away from Prospect Park.
I am moving out and looking for someone to ideally take the room for the remainder of the lease (happy to discuss the possibility of doing a shorter amount of time).
**You can also have your own bathroom if you want for $2,350**
The apartment is a 3 bed/2 bath with a large office space (great for anyone who works remote or hybrid, living room, and spacious kitchen. Perfect for having people over for dinner parties. Also plenty of closet and storage space both in the bedroom and throughout the apartment. Also we have a washer/dryer in-unit as well as plenty of pretty new kitchen appliances (microwave, oven, etc).
The room currently has a full-sized bed with drawer storage for an additional, one-time charge if that is of interest. Otherwise, the room can be unfurnished too. We are looking for singles only. Room has a one pretty large window that is alley facing.
Otherwise, the other spaces in the apartment are fully furnished.
Nearby:
- 7 minute walk to the F/G trains (7th Avenue Station)
- 15 minute walk to the B/Q trains (the other 7th Avenue Station)
- 13 minute walk to the 2/3 trains (Grand Army Plaza Station)
- Less than a block away from Prospect Park (huuuuuge perk!)
- A block away from tons of restaurants, bars, diners, and cute little shops on 7th Avenue and 5th Avenue
Trains to lower Manhattan take around 30 minutes, but can be even faster depending on where you are headed. Our old roommate used to commute to Flatiron everyday and said it would take him around 35 minutes each way door to door. Generally, access to so many different train lines makes it pretty easy to get anywhere. Also, for anyone who has a car, street parking around here is not too bad. Street cleaning only happens twice a week on each street (one day per side) vs. 4 times a week.
**Place to park a bike behind the building as well**
Utilities:
- Internet is $100
- Electric usually around $100 (has been getting up to $190 in the summers, but never more than that)
- Gas is $20
- All of this is split between the three of us

We are two friends (Basil and Anna) who currently live in this apartment and love both the apartment and the neighborhood!
Basil (he/him) is a 29 year-old social science researcher, who loves to bike around Prospect Park, cook, bake, play the drums, and go to comedy shows around the neighborhood (great comedy scene in Park Slope!) He works fully in-person.
Anna (she/her) is a 29-year old environmental scientist and freelance florist. She enjoys an extended park walk, cooking and can be regularly found making a run to Park Slope Food Coop. She’s flexibly home or at coffee shops throughout the week.
We love going to concerts together, hanging out in the park, and just hanging out in the apartment. We both like our quiet time but also like to go out from time to time too (not every weekend necessarily, but we aren't strangers to a party here and there). Apartment is generally 4/20 friendly and LGBTQ friendly. We like having friends over every once in a while too and would be open to a roommate who wants to throw a dinner party every now and again! In general, we are looking for someone who will match our good energy and be kind, respectful, and fun.
