It has 1 full bedroom in the back and another small bedroom in the front that some may use as a studio, office, or a bedroom that would fit a twin bed. This is your typical original brownstone layout. No fake walls here!
The Kitchen: FULL DISCLOSURE: THERE IS NO OVEN/STOVE. However, there is a kitchen area consisting of a refrigerator, plenty of kitchen cabinets, a kitchen sink, and the area where long ago a small stove used to be. This “stove area” has been utilized by my previous tenants by using attractive mobile vertical shelving that holds a microwave, a modern induction 2 burner hot plate and a crock pot or toaster oven. If you do not bake, or you are an air frying, microwaving, Uber-Eats, Door- Dasher kind of person; this may be the perfect situation for you.
The Location: The location is in the heart of Bed-Stuy, a prime area, just 2 blocks from the A/C Fulton Street subwaystop. Coffee shops, spas and restaurants are walking distance. It is a few minutes from the LIRR, Atlantic Terminal and the Barclays Center.
I am the owner of this brownstone that has been in my family for over 85 years. This means it definitely matters that any tenant who resides here, cares about the building and its cleanliness.
I do not live on the property and it is a quiet building with only 2 people in the duplex, and 1 person on the top floor. The synergies of my tenants are respectful, quiet, peaceful and provide harmonious coexistence.
Rental Requirements: You must have good credit, proof of emergency funds and income. One month’s rent, one month’s security deposit, and a credit and background check will be done. There is no smoking on the premises, pets are not allowed, and tenant must respect the cleanliness of the building.
