Not the doorman/elevator scene. Very old building. One of the last old brick buildings left on the street from the early 1900s. Complete gut renovation of the interior with expensive high-end materials and appliances. It has a second door opening to a fire escape balcony, where you can enjoy the fresh air and watch the scene facing the street. The bedroom is in the back, with little to no noise. All amenities include central air, bedroom, and living room, large wall-mounted TV/pc screens, gas fireplace, filtered water and auto hot water, washer and dryer, 1 walk-in closet/small office, and a second closet with built-in drawers, and lots more! A very special place to be as there are 5 hotels on the street with people paying twice as much for just a small room!!!!

There is a full closet with drawers just for you! There are also basic condiments for cooking and toiletries. A homey feeling, and Louisa, the housemaid, can handle regular cleaning or any special request (within reason and paid separately). The apartment is Immaculate! The owner will give you WIFI and password; She is happy to walk you around the apt to show you all the amenities and how they work, like the TV, AC, shower, fireplace, w/d, etc., as well as the locks and also a quick walk around the neighborhood so you know where to go for the best places to go before she leaves you with the key...if you want.. Everything you could possibly want. Hub of transportation subway, train, and buses on the same or next block over. Bikes on the same street. There are 5 hotels to enjoy their free shuttle buses/breakfast, food, drinks, gym, and entertainment, but mostly keeping the street active and well lit. The police station is on the block. Luggage storage and hotel shuttles to the airport are on the block. A few blocks from Hudson Yards and the new Mall, Whole Foods, the Hudson River, and a walking park. Javits, MSG, Empire State Bldg, and Times Square are all within walking distance. Privacy: no doorman but with a handy, friendly full-time super if needed. Completely modern and designer renovated with high-end appliances, wood floors, a washer and dryer, AC, 2 TVs, 2 queen size ( 1 bedroom/1 sofa) beds, two shower heads, and dimmer lighting. Stocked with everything you need. It is a true home away from home but just more exciting!

We also want to let you know those who have not been in NYC. You are in the very heart of the city. Lot's of tourists. 24-hour eateries and Starbucks, McDonalds, late-night shopping... H&M is open until midnight, and Target is open 24 hours! A new City bike rack on the street, free evening (7pm-6 am), and weekend parking in front of the building if you can snatch it. Public transport and MSG and Javits Center in your back yard! If you want a less busy area without those conveniences, best to go to the lower and upper areas of the city.

I am the owner. I lived in the apartment until Mother passed; now I have her home and live there. I work 10 blocks away, so I can quickly help you with any issues.

The apartment has never been empty since I started renting four years ago. Work transfers and students, people who want to be in a spot in NYC that is convenient for everything from having one of the only local fruit, butcher and fish markets left if you cook to running/walking along the river and especially local transport/bikes on same street so getting around NYC or out of the city is so easy. Plus fun with MSG, local bars and Hudson Yards is the scene!

There are tenants in there now, so I must arrange a time to see the apartment. Tenant is aware and will show you the place. Longer term rental preferred. Minimum 6 months.
